Original post:
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our brother, Captain Stuart “Stu” Campbell.
Captain Campbell passed away today after a courageous battle with occupational cancer. Stu dedicated over 30 years of service to the Town of Oakville and the Oakville Fire Department, serving with unwavering pride, courage, compassion, and honour.
His leadership, commitment, and contributions to our department and community will never be forgotten.
Stu’s legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the example he set for all of us. Our thoughts and prayers are with Stu’s family, friends, and fire service family during this incredibly difficult time.
Funeral and memorial arrangements will be shared in the coming days.
Rest in peace, Captain. You will never be forgotten.
